Ancient Egypt is a UK based bi-monthly magazine, i.e. it is published six times a year, which deals with the subject of Egyptology. It is researched and written by experts in the field of Egyptology, with noted Egyptologist Robert Partridge as Editor and Professor Rosalie David as Consultant Editor. The contents concentrate mainly on a wide range of subjects related to ancient Egypt.
Ancient Egypt seeks to explain the mysteries of this ancient civilization in a concise manner. However, the magazine doesn't just deal with the past, but also provides updates on the latest travel information and assesses the impact Egyptology has on modern Egypt.

One of the special features is "News from Egypt" which brings latest news and exclusive images of recent discoveries made in Egypt from sites all around the country. In each issue there is a large section devoted to reviews of the latest books and internet material as well as recommendations for further areas of study. It also occasionally includes items on Coptic or Islamic Egypt.
Each issue also has extensive listings and contact details of Egyptology societies in the UK, USA, Canada and Australia. Full details of lectures and events in the UK are given. It also lists any forthcoming special Exhibitions or events which may be of interest to readers. They also review international exhibitions, visits to museums in UK and abroad, educational material, book on Egyptology and their features in every issue of Ancient Egypt.

The magazine is of interest to anyone who wants to study the subject further or become involved in Egyptology. Ancient Egypt, with its lively and informed style, appeals to both the committed student and those who are new to the subject.
